In the summer, temperatures frequently reach 30°C on the coast and a few degrees cooler in the mountains. Winter temperatures range from 10°C to 15°C during the day, usually warm enough to lunch outdoors under the noon sunshine in little more than a T-shirt, even in February!
The perched village of Le Bar sur Loup is located between Grasse and Nice at the beginning of the picturesque Gorges du Loup. Here, the best of both worlds exists with the peace and beauty of the countryside and the excellent proximity to the towns on the Riviera.
The village itself has good facilities, including five restaurants, two bakeries, two general stores, pharmacy, post office and tourist information.
The fabulous 12 metre long and 5 metre wide heated swimming pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view! The pool is heated from spring through to autumn and is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and equipped with comfortable sun loungers and parasols.
In 1995, my husband and I moved to the south of France, planning to stay only a couple of years but we quickly fell in love with the region and its wonderful climate. We were fortunate to discover La Bastide Saint Christophe and make it our home.
My passion is to share with guests the beauty and tranquility that captivated me more than 20 years ago when we first arrived.
